I started at the age of 16 because I only weighed less than 100 pounds. I was scrawny and weak, but bodybuilding made me strong and like any other typical bodybuilder I took up bodybuilding just to improve my physique and gain confidence because I considered myself too skinny and weak but in the long run I did not noticed that this makes me stand out and now my flesh and blood. The show that I considered that began my career was the 1999 Hong Kong Bodybuilding Championship which I got 1st place in bantamweight category and at the same time I won the overall categories. My second major show was MR. ASIA Bodybuilding Championships, were I got 1st place spot. In 2002, one of the most unique sports of Asiad and Hong Kong‘s debut in the games, I won the silver medal in the bantamweight class (under 65kg) category of ASEAN Games bodybuilding competition. 2003 got the Champion in MR. ASIA Bodybuilding competition, For these achievements, I decided to retire on my bodybuilding career competition, but later on there’s a certain call in my mind that I still need to achieve and consider the encouragement and chances that had been given by the old friend and chairman of HKFBF Mr. Hugo Chan. For these chances, I have joined in 2011 Asian Bodybuilding as a comeback and got 2nd place in 65kgs category, and in 2012 Arnold Classic Amateur Bodybuilding 65kgs which I achieved 2nd place, 2013 Arnold Classic Amateur Bodybuilding 70kgs 4th price, 2013 Asian Bodybuilding Silver Medalist 70kgs 3rd place and 2014 Arnold Classic Amateur Bodybuilding 70kgs Champion . I still believe it will never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream. As one of Hong Kong’s Bodybuilder pioneer, I am glad I still have a chance to show my own way of enthusiasm, dedication and passion in bodybuilding and the best of all to inspire and contribute what I learned to the next generation of Hong Kong Bodybuilders.
